Facing a similar chaos that was last seen in 2020 under Mike Nolan . Back then, Nolan’s lone season as defensive coordinator allowed 6,183 yards and 473 points. A number that seemed catastrophic at the time. Fast forward to 2025, and Matt Eberflus appears to be steering the unit toward an even rougher path in his first season with Dallas.
Much of the pregame discussion leading into Dallas’ Week 3 matchup with the Chicago Bears centered on defensive coordinator Eberflus. The Bears’ former head coach (2022-2024) and how he would manage against his old quarterback Caleb Williams and Williams’ successor Ben Johnson . The result? Williams and Johnson had the last laugh. Chicago rolled to a 31-14 victory, their first win
