COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri running back Ahmad Hardy has already made a name for himself through the first month of his first year in Columbia.

The Louisiana-Monroe transfer has been one of college football’s best running backs through four games. His standout performance in a 29-20 Mizzou win Saturday against South Carolina earned him SEC honors.

Hardy was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

The honor came after he ran for 138 yards and a touchdown in Mizzou’s fourth victory of the season. It was his fourth straight game with more than 100 rushing yards, something only two players in Mizzou history have ever done.
