BILLINGS, Mont. – The recent firing of the Montana Rescue Mission's leader has sparked discussions about the need for improved emergency shelter options in the Magic City.

An internal investigation is currently underway at the mission, with a third party involved.

Former employees and local homeless service providers in Billings have voiced concerns over the leadership style of the mission's former leader, Matt Lundgren.

They described him as closed off to collaboration with other local providers.
