HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - President Trump is warning pregnant women not to take Tylenol, claiming the medicine is linked to a rise in autism.

Pregnant woman are already discouraged from taking ibuprofen and aspirin due to the risks of miscarriage or birth defect.

Now, President Trump says bottles of Tylenol will carry an additional warning label for expecting mothers, stating that if you take acetaminophen, your child could be at risk for autism.

“So, taking Tylenol is not good. I’ll say it. It’s not good,” said President Donald Trump. “For instance, cases of extremely high fever that you feel you can’t tough it out, you can’t do it. I guess that it’s a small number of cases, I think.”
