BEACHWOOD, Ohio — The festive spirit was palpable at the Cleveland Marriott East as more than 140 people gathered Monday to observe Erev Rosh Hashanah.

Organized by Celebrating Jewish Life , the event kicked off a six-part schedule of Jewish holiday celebrations that will continue through May 2026.

The night opened with heartfelt song and prayer led by Rabbi Rosie Haim and musician Chuck Fink, both central figures with Celebrating Jewish Life. As the candles were lit, guests mingled and paused for reflection, connecting with old friends and greeting newcomers.
