BRANDENBURG, Ky. — Superintendent Mark Martin says Meade County Schools are benefiting from Health Kids Clinic after only two years.

“We have a nurse in every building and a nurse practitioner,” Martin said. “And it’s able for us to meet the full continuum of our students and our employees.”

Thanks to a partnership with Cumberland Family Medical Centers , school nurses can offer a wide range of services that just weren’t possible before.

Now, if a student or teacher is sick, they can be treated as if they were at a normal clinic. Medication can be given with parental consent, swabs for strep throat, even immunizations and physicals.
