A 38-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly storming into a bank branch in Sydney’s south with a knife.
The incident unfolded just after 10am on Tuesday, when officers from St George Police Area Command were called to reports of an armed robbery.
The incident occurred at a bank branch on Kingsgrove Road in Kingsgrove.
Police allege the woman entered the bank armed with a knife and threatened staff while demanding cash.
She was arrested at the scene without further incident.
No staff members or customers were injured during the confrontation.
The woman was taken to Kogarah Police Station and investigations into the attempted armed robbery are still ongoing.
