SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - A cold front will bring a round of severe weather later this evening through tonight. Wind, hail, and a few weak tornadoes are possible. This will be an overnight threat for many areas, so make sure you review your severe weather safety plan and have multiple ways to receive warnings overnight.

The first half of the day will play out quietly, with a mix of clouds and sun through the morning and temperatures warming from the 70s to the 90s in most areas this afternoon. A brief rain shower or thunderstorm is possible through 5 or 6 p.m., before the severe weather threat ramps up after that.

Our severe weather threat level is a level 2 'Slight Risk', meaning scattered severe storms are possible. Storms are most likely in the Slight Risk area outlined in yellow
