A new gallery has swum ashore in Vancouver to land in the northwest corner of the Terminal 1 building across from the AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront .
AQUA Gallery , named for both its proximity to water and its aquarium-like shape and feel, offers passers-by a surprising burst of color on an otherwise gray side street. Floor-to-ceiling glass encloses the west and north sides of the long, narrow gallery, giving onlookers the impression that they’re gazing into a giant tank or terrarium. The 80-by-8-foot space was set aside by Lincoln Property Co. specifically to showcase local art.
