MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — The West Virginia University Police Department has released its annual Clery Act report, summarizing crime and safety statistics from last year.

The report includes data from 2024, which was mostly on par with statistics from 2023, according to a release from WVU Today. However, three crime categories increased pretty significantly. • Burglaries - increased from 10 reports in 2023 to 25 reports in 2024 (150% increase) • Domestic violence - increased from 24 in 2023 to 32 in 2024 (33% increase) • Stalking - increased from 24 in 2023 to 42 in 2024 (75% increase)

The report includes crime data from the University Police Department and other law enforcement agencies that have jurisdiction that overlaps with the UPD, including areas on or adjacent to WVU's cam
