FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Fairmont City Council held its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday evening, where Mayor Anne Bolyard issued a proclamation recognizing Save a Life Day, which highlights the importance of carrying naloxone to prevent overdoses.
West Virginia Prevention Solutions, which started Save a Life Day in the Mountain State, is a non-profit agency that’s funded through grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
