(FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego police said a shooting that involved its officers occurred Tuesday morning in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego.

The agency said the shooting happened near Orange Avenue and 51st Street, west of Colina Del Sol Park.

Police said that they were involved in the shooting, but did not specify how many officers or the time the shooting took place.

Police said a nearby school was not placed into a lockdown and that campus police were patrolling the school area.
