The Detroit Lions tout that it’s the run game and the offensive line that set the tone for its offense.

There was no better showcase for that than their 38-30 victory on the road over the Baltimore Ravens Monday night.

The Lions rushed for 224 yards, with running back David Montgomery picking up 151 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.

Montgomery earned an 89.5 overall offensive grade from Pro Football Focus, his highest since Week 6 of last season against the Dallas Cowboys where he went for 80 yards and two touchdowns.

But, the Lions’ bruiser back wouldn’t have had such a special night if not for the excellent performance of Detroit’s O-line, which earned an 89.7 grade in run blocking, the highest for the franchise since a matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010.
