OSCODA – Oscoda hosted its annual Linda Hennigar Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Owls did well during the busy day, finishing in second place overall after coming up just short in a close championship match.

“Overall, I think the team played really well all weekend,” head coach Melissa Curley said. “We have a few small things to work on cleaning up, but this is a great group of girls that want to work hard and improve every day.”

In pool play, Oscoda split with Hale, then defeated Fairview and Hillman. In the first round of elimination play, they defeated Whittemore-Prescott, but then lost to Atlanta in the championship, 21-25, 25-21 and 15-11.
