ATLANTA — Atlanta's Spelman College has been ranked as the No. 1 Best Historically Black Colleges and Universities for 2026 by the U.S. News & World Report for the 19th consecutive year.

The liberal arts college was also ranked No. 2 on the list of top performers in social mobility, which is the primary measure for assessing how well schools graduate economically disadvantaged students.
