Tracking the tropics: AM Sept. 23, 2025

FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Brooks Garner gives us a look at the latest developments in the tropics as Hurricane Gabrielle remains a monstrous Category 4 storm on Tuesday morning. Garner is also looking at two other disturbances in the Atlantic that have increasing odds of development.

In addition to the threat of Hurricane Gabrielle, the NHC is also monitoring two other areas for potential tropical development in the Atlantic that have now been designated as Invest 93L and Invest 94L.

What we know:

As of 5 a.m. on Tuesday, forecasters with the NHC say Hurricane Gabrielle is located about 305 miles east-northeast of Bermuda and about 1,855 miles west of the Azores.
