Vanessa Legate was stabbed multiple times, her boyfriend’s murder trial was told Tuesday.

In Kitchener court, a forensic pathologist reviewed a slew of wounds to Legate’s face, head, neck, chin, chest, back and fingers.

A few of the wounds, including one to the back of her neck and one to her chest, could have killed her, Dr. Carolyne Lemieux told Crown prosecutor Thomas Mack.

Dylon Moreira, 33, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

The Crown alleges he stabbed Legate, 41, his mother, Diana Moreria, 51, and a girl whose identity is protected by a publication ban.

The three were stabbed in a house on Cayley Court in Kitchener, in the Rockway area near the A.R. Kaufman Family YMCA.
