RUSK COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - A pair of siblings in Wisconsin was arrested following an investigation into a crime that police say impedes a government body's ability to discuss matters with reasonable privacy.
According to the Rusk County Sheriff's Office, 37-year-old Alan and 34-year-old Stephanie Christianson were arrested and charged with alleged violations of Wisconsin Statute 968.31, which reads as follows:
'Intentionally uses, attempts to use or procures any other person to use or attempt to use any electronic, mechanical or other device to intercept any oral communication.'
According to the release, the two allegedly attempted to record a county board meeting's closed session on August 26.
