HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - President Donald Trump, alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., made an announcement Monday about his administration’s latest findings on autism.

Their comments focused on the use of acetaminophen -- the active ingredient in Tylenol -- calling acetaminophen a very big factor.

This announcement was made despite a recent study finding that taking acetaminophen during pregnancy was not tied to autism.

The announcement is garnering reaction from parents who have children with autism and professionals who work with those who have autism.

Jimmie Beirne, CEO of the Autism Services Center in Huntington, said the president’s announcement concerned him.
