QUAD CITIES, Iowa/Ill. (KWQC) -- YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST FROM CHIEF METEOROLOGIST ERIK MAITLAND:

Late Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night we’ll be watching for some showers and thundershowers to develop over parts of the TV6 viewing area. The focus here will be mainly along and south of I-80 with some widespread development expected. Nothing is expected to become severe but with ample moisture available some of the rain could be heavy.

Wednesday on looks to be another moderate term spell of dry weather. Highs will hit the upper then mid 70s through Thursday. Friday we’re back to the 80s and stay there into early next week!

Unfortunately, the outlook for rain after Tuesday night is not very good. Long range forecasts out to 14 days keep us bone dry!
