EDMOND — The Uncommon Ground Sculpture Park in Edmond reached a pivotal milestone Monday as construction crews installed the central column of its signature attraction, the Route 66 Eagle’s Nest, marking significant progress toward the park’s anticipated 2026 opening.

The 40-foot-tall, five-foot-diameter steel column now anchors what will become a 64-foot recreational sculpture perched atop one of Edmond’s highest points. When complete, the Eagle’s Nest will offer visitors breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding landscape, including Route 66 and Arcadia Lake .
