ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - A Virginia Tech student is making big changes to support cancer care in our hometowns. He’s inviting you to help, and also have some fun.

At just 9 years old, Conner Price knew he was going to help put an end to cancer.

“I knew from that age I wanted to do something, I knew I was going to do something to go out and make a change,” said Price.

He frequented Roanoke Memorial Hospital starting in 2015 when his father, Jason Price, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

“I was asking right away, asking doctors, nurses, my family, what can I do to help? Like, how can I help my dad?” remembered Price. “I was nine years old sitting there just watching him battle cancer. And like, I always got the same answer. It was like, ’there’s not really much you can do.’”
