Dedicated teamwork among not only North Hastings Hospital staff but other emergency responders in the area was recognized at a meeting of Quinte Health’s Board of Directors in Bancroft Tuesday. On July 23 there was a serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 28E injuring several people who had to be extricated from vehicles by the Bancroft Fire Department and rushed to the local hospital by Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services in coordination with Bancroft OPP. At the hospital, doctors, nurses, diagnostic imaging, and support staff worked seamlessly to provide the care needed while making sure Ornge air ambulance was notified. Some hospital staff returned to the hospital to help although they had finished their shift. Quinte Health’s Board of Directors presented the Values in Action
