There’s good news and not so good news when it comes to staffing at Quinte Health’s 4 hospitals. The good news is that overall staffing vacancy rates have been dropping. And for some staff like Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, and Personal Support Workers vacancies are below 5 percent, better than in pre-pandemic times. Quinte Health CEO Stacey Daub tells Quinte News that staff retention rates have also improved and “are very good”. Daub credits Loyalist College and its nursing and PSW programs for creating a local pipeline of new staff for the organization.
