NEW SWEDEN, Maine (WAGM) - One year ago Tuesday, 14-year-old Stefanie Damron vanished from her home in New Sweden after an argument with her sister and hasn’t been seen since.

Now, a year later, the Damron family is still holding on to hope.

Stefanie Damron was last seen walking into the woods near her home on West Road in New Sweden on Sept. 23, 2024. According to the state police, her disappearance sparked one of the largest search efforts Aroostook County has ever seen.
