A Lake County woman has been sentenced to 20-40 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder in the stabbing death of her husband.
Betsy K. McIntyre, 69, of Irons was sentenced by Lake County Probate Judge David Glancy on Monday in 27th Circuit Court, Attorney General Dana Nessel announced in a press release.
"I hope this sentence brings some measure of justice for the victim’s family,” Nessel said.
McIntyre pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in August. In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors agreed to the 20- to 40-year sentence. Second-degree murder generally carries up to life in prison.
