The American Legion family in Madison is ready to embark for a new endeavor — embracing the wind on the road and the honor in their hearts with a motorcycle club.

The group has tentatively scheduled a first meeting for Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in its typical meeting spot, the Interlakes Senior Citizens Center. However, since the time is not set in stone, Dan Wyatt, an officer with the Madison American Legion, recommended that those interested in attending or joining contact him directly. His personal Facebook account is viewable by the public, and he said he is quick to respond to messages and answer questions. Other Legion members will also be happy to help out, as individuals have already posted in some Facebook groups and pages to gauge interest in the project. ×
