Entering its 18th year, the Trojan Food Drive is still going strong.

The initiative is led by students at West Ferris Secondary School, who will be canvassing neighbourhoods surrounding the school on Wednesday, September 24. If you live between Premier Road and the Overpass in North Bay, expect to see a Trojan at your door.

The students will be picking up non-perishable food donations from around 5 to 8 p.m. If you won’t be home but want to donate, just leave a bag of food on the doorstep. The Trojans will be happy for it.

All donations go to the North Bay Food Bank. Last year, students collected over 10,000 pounds of food. For context, that’s enough food to jam pack the box of a medium-sized panel truck.
