Ahead of Year 3 under Mike Rhoades, Penn State basketball has announced a quartet of captains.
Junior forward Saša Ciani, freshman guard Kayden Mingo, redshirt sophomore guard Eli Rice and senior forward Josh Reed earned the designation Tuesday.

Mingo stands out, as the New York native signed as the highest-ranked recruit in Nittany Lions history this year. He was a four-star and the No. 37 recruit nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite rating. At 6-3 and 195 pounds, Mingo was the New York Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior, averaging 13.6 points and 4.1 assists per game.
