OAK RIDGE, Tenn. — The Oak Ridge Police Department has released a statement and launched an internal investigation after a video of an officer began to circulate on social media.
Knoxville Attorney Donald Christmas posted a video on TikTok showing an officer sneaking to take a picture of a woman's feet, who they had pulled over for speeding. Christmas said he was representing the woman who was pulled over.
ORPD said the video showed an officer taking "a photo of a woman during a traffic stop and making comments to two other officers on scene about sending it to a supervisor."
The department said the incident happened on Nov. 2, 2024, but it "does not condone this type of behavior," which prompted an internal investigation nearly 10 months later.
