COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County Police are investigating after a "young child" was shot in Smyrna on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to 4900 Circle 75 Parkway just after 8 p.m. after they received reports of shots fired. The address is for a hotel within walking distance of The Battery Atlanta.

Police did not give much information about the shooting. Witnesses told 11Alive they heard several gunshots outside the Budgetel Inn and Suites. Another witness said they were next door at Western Inn Marietta and heard the shots as well. Credit: WXIA

A woman staying at the Budgetel said a mother rushed into the lobby with her baby in a stroller saying her baby had been shot. Another witness said the suspects ran inside, robbed someone of their clothes, changed and took off.
