BEMIDJI – Senior goalkeeper Kellen Heuer was given the chance of a lifetime in the 46th minute of the Bemidji High School boys soccer game versus Moorhead.

After a penalty kick was called against the Spuds, the Lumberjacks’ senior goalkeeper jogged to the other side of the field to line up for a potential go-ahead goal with the game tied at 1-1.

He’s the only senior to not score a goal this season, for obvious reasons. But he had shown some promise in penalty kicks in practice the day previously.

“I'm real confident with any of my seniors,” head coach Rick Toward said. “Kellen is just lights out and has been lights out. If you look at the way he hits the ball on his goal kicks, it's just a laser.”
