FAIRVIEW Ore. (KPTV) - A 5-year-old girl drowned in Fairview Lake on Tuesday, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

First responders were called to a home near the shore of the lake at about 11:25 a.m., on a report of a child in the lake.

Upon arrival, they found the girl unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts that continued on the ride to the hospital, the girl did not survive.

A death investigation is ongoing, but the sheriff’s office says that there are no indications of foul play.
