DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — The results are in, and Pam Werstler will be taking over the seat held in Decatur by Hunter Pepper.

Werstler, who took on Sarah French for the seat, ended up with nearly 63% of the vote.

News 19 spoke to Werstler following her win, and she said she is more than ready to get to work and serve the people in District 4.

"It's kind of like what I've been talking about. Going into the district and keep looking for things that are going well and praising those that are and doing the good stuff, and also looking for things that need improvement and getting those things that need to be improved as well, and having meetings with the constituents," she said.
