NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Some pregnant mothers are left with questions and concerns following President Trump’s announcement that acetaminophen could be linked to autism.

The President’s recommendation that women should not take Tylenol during pregnancy is getting some pushback from concerned doctors.

For years, scientists have studied a possible link between pregnant mothers’ use of acetaminophen and neurological conditions like autism and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that has not been proven.

This latest announcement from President Trump comes after a new report was released a month ago from Harvard and Mount Sinai, reviewing 46 different studies.
