Google appears to be working on a new feature for its AI platform, Gemini, that could make it more similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The company is reportedly testing a “projects” feature that will likely allow users to organise their AI tasks and work in a more structured way.

The new feature was spotted by Android Authority in version 16.37.46.sa.arm64 of the Google app, where a “Projects” option appeared in Gemini’s mobile interface. While it isn’t available for use yet, the menu entry suggests it will sit just under the “My Stuff” section. Interestingly, users may not be able to create projects directly from the mobile app at first. Instead, creating projects will likely require using Gemini’s web version.
