(KFVS) - A front moving through the Heartland will continue to stir up rain and storm chances today and into this evening.
Skies will be mostly cloudy with pockets of showers and storms this morning and afternoon.
More active weather is possible later this afternoon as another round of heavy rain and storms develops along the leading edge of the front.
This could lead to another round of widespread rainfall, especially in the Bootheel, western Kentucky and northwest Tennessee.
Afternoon highs will be in the upper 70s today and Thursday.
The second half of the week is looking calmer with a few isolated showers possible on Thursday morning.
Friday through the weekend is looking sunny with highs in the low-to-mid-80s.
