CARROLLTON, Ga. — The Carrollton Fire Department said three people were hurt after an apartment fire early Wednesday morning.

According to fire officials, crews were called out to Soma Apartments located at 460 Hays Mill Road at around 4:30 a.m.

Fire officials said three people sustained injuries that appear to be minor, and four apartments were damaged by the flames and smoke.

Carrollton Police said they are working to assist residents with getting to school and work.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
