NEW ORLEANS SAINTS have agreed a new lease for the iconic Caesars Superdome - but are yet to sign.

The stadium - which has hosted a record eight Super Bowls - has been home of the Saints since 1975.

It underwent extensive $185million renovations almost two decades ago, reopening in 2006.

Despite no suggestion that the Saints are looking to move away from the venue, their current lease agreement remains unsigned.

The stadium lease, which would run for 10 years and then give the Saints options to renew every five years through 2055, has been finalized since last week, per NOLA.

But the deal is being held up by "unresolved agreements tied to nearby properties," Jeff Duncan writes.
