HARTSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A kitten is continuing to recover after reportedly being found with burns near the site of a Tennessee Valley Authority implosion in mid-September.

Smith County Humane reports that the kitten, Ashton, was found covered in ash and with burns.

Ashton was found with the injuries after the TVA tower in Hartsville was brought down, according to the Humane Society.

Smith County Humane said the kitten has started to heal but has a long road to recovery ahead. They’re working to garner donations to help Ashton’s recovery.
