Authorities in northern Minnesota are searching for a man who escaped from prison on Tuesday evening.
Michael Hart, 40, escaped from the Northeast Regional Corrections Center (NERCC) in Saginaw, and was believed to be heading north from the facility "toward the area of Independence."
"At the time of the escape, Hart was wearing a yellow sweatshirt, gray T-shirt and blue pants," the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said.
He is described as white, 5'10" tall, weighing 169 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes.
"If he is located, DO NOT APPROACH and call 911."
Northeast Regional Corrections Center is a minimum/medium security institution that is Minnesota's only correctional work farm. It has spaced for 144 inmates.
