Reward offered for information about South Toledo arson

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance with their investigation into an arson Tuesday morning near the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Fire crews responded to the 3300 block of Arlington Avenue about 9 a.m. on a report of a fire in a first-floor apartment. Initial crews reported smoke showing and proceeded to evacuate the eight-unit building, fire officials said.

The cause was of the fire has been ruled arson, according to police.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call or text the Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111. Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
