One of two winners of this month’s $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot has come forward to claim the prize — though without revealing much of who he is.

“I’m going to just do me for a year,” the anonymous winner was quoted as saying in a press release Sept. 22 from the Missouri Lottery. “I’m like a homebody. The perfect day is sitting at home doing what I do – relaxing.”
He did not reveal his age, city of residence or what his occupation was before the big win. He did say that he is married, and that his wife also plans to “reduce her workload” and would probably “drag me out of town.”
The Missouri Lottery said the man chose the one-time payout option, which will come to about $410 million after taxes.
