KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Kingston woman is facing charges after crashing into a Tennessee Department of Transportation truck on I-40 in Knoxville, according to a police report obtained by WVLT News.
It happened on Sept. 22 around 9:45 p.m. The case centers on 20-year-old Lauren Dixon. A report written by a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper said they arrived on scene near the Papermill exit to find Dixon’s car, damaged and a TDOT truck that had been hit in the back.
According to the report, Dixon had been drinking and smoking marijuana when she hit the truck. The trooper said she admitted to being under the influence, adding that they found an open bottle of vodka and marijuana in the car.
