LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The woman convicted for her role in the 2021 killing of Carly Schaaf was sentenced on Wednesday in a separate federal gun case.
Rachel Pageler, 29, pled guilty to a firearms conspiracy charge and was sentenced to time served, with a three-year term of supervised release and $100 fine.
Pageler took a plea deal resulting in three charges to be dismissed: false statements on federal firearms licensee forms, drug user in possession of firearms and possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking.
This sentencing stems from the investigation into Schaaf’s murder.
Pageler was convicted of one count of accessory to manslaughter and one count of abandoning human skeletal remains on Aug. 7.
The combined charges carry a maximum of five years in prison with 30 m
