FARMINGTON, Pa. (WV News) — The inaugural WVU Medicine Children’s Open golf tournament on Monday raised more than $215,000 to support the greatest needs of the hospital as it cares for children and expectant mothers across the state and region.

The event, planned with help from the WVU Medicine Children's Golf Committee and co-chairs C'Anna Keffer and Ashley Davis, took place on Monday, Sept. 22, at Mystic Rock at Nemacolin Resort. Twenty-three foursome teams participated. The winning team was Dan Estel, Russel Reid, Mark Johnson and David Schindler. Contests were also held for being closest to the pin, won by Brandon Katzeff, and the longest drive, won by Corey Lynn. Gary Sisson won a putting contest.
