GALLATIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - A former Hendersonville fire captain is facing assault charges in connection with an incident stemming from the ongoing “class wars” throughout Sumner County.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers responded to a home on Clendening Drive in Gallatin on Sunday evening.

The 911 caller reported a fight in the parking lot near a home between a homeowner and some teenagers who were reportedly trespassing on his property.

Responding officers found one of the teens at a Publix parking lot, who said it was “junior/senior wars” and they were “pranking” the house by putting flour on the driveway, according to the affidavit.

A girl told officers she was assaulted, hit in the face and placed in a chokehold by Jamie K. Cossler, who was the homeowner.
