Ladders sold at Home Depot stores have been recalled because the locking mechanism can jam and toss the user to the ground.

Werner has recalled 122,250, 20-foot and 24-foot Multi-Max Pro Multi-Purpose ladders.

The locking mechanism can jam and not fully lock into place, according to an announcement with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The ladders were sold at Home Depot stores and online from November 2021 through February 2024 with average prices between $200 and $281.

The ladders are silver with a blue top and a blue label on the side rail. The model number, ALMP-20IAA or ALMP-24IAA, is on the label along with the size. The ladders also have a long black rope in the back section.
