CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A priest who was placed on administrative leave has been exonerated following a criminal investigation, according to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Father Edward “Ed” Burns Jr. was placed on leave after a church employee “uncovered the possibility that concerning websites were accessed, including pornography sites, ” on a laptop he had used, according to a letter last week from the archdiocese.

An investigation ensued by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office that found no evidence of criminal, pornographic or inappropriate material had been accessed on the computer, the archdiocese said in a statement released Wednesday.
