ROSEVILLE, Minn. — For several years now, Minnesota food shelves and meal programs have seen the impact of inflation firsthand.

Many have sounded the alarm as they struggled to keep pace with the climbing demand for food.

Now, with even more uncertainty on the horizon following impending cuts to the food stamp program, the USDA has announced that it is terminating its Food Security Report , a key metric for tracking hunger for the past 30 years.

"If we don't track it, it doesn't mean it's not there.
